+1

I particularly love Compliments and Laredo... the whole album rocks though.

I have been listening to this again, it is by far their best record yet. Neighbor is a fantastic track. Lot's of Poco influence on this record.Just brilliant.

I've got their other two too, but I haven't really listened to them much yet.

They are both really good records. This one just seems to be a more mature record if that makes sense.

I think I agree, although I flip-flop when I listen to them. If I had to say, I'd say each record has gotten better.

I loved that from the jump and you're right, it just keeps revealing more with each listen. On a similar level Mumford & Sons' "Sigh No More" is wonderful.
Another that really grabbed me after a couple of listens was Retribution Gospel Choir 2. That one starts off like some kind of over-the-top riff-fest but then it settles to take another kind of depth that is certainly a reminder of the Low records. Really liking this one.
Had these on repeat for a few days, along with the Bruce and of course Mark Olson is still in my earspace for walk/run time.

two more albums that will likely be on the list were just released today (or something like that, I'm in Italy at the moment for a conference and my sense of time is a bit off). Thankfully I got my preorders a few days early from the store, so I got a chance to listen to them on the flight etc. Anyhow, the new Richard Thompson album Dream Attic, and Ryan Bingham's new one Junky Star are both great albums. I suppose time will tell where they'll rank on the best of this years albums.

Dungen - Skit I Allt. Cool stuff. Very similar to their other records, still very cool.
Ryan Bingham - Junky Star. The little I've heard is great
The Black Crowes - Croweology. Terrific. The vinyl copy (and hopefully the bonus single) has been sent from the Efetus and waiting at me at the post office.
Black Keys - Brothers. This one I havn't really fallen in love with yet.
Black Label Society - Order Of The Black. Best BLS album so far!!!
Danzig - (forget the name). Some cool songs on it! Saw him play as well. Bizarre
Jonathan Wilson - Gentle Spirit. Fantastic!!! But maybe it didn't come out this year. Hard to tell since it cannot be bought, or hard to even find a download of it.
